What we believe

We desire to be a Spirit-led family, united on His Kingdom mission.

We are a member of the Baptist Churches of SA and NT and hold to shared beliefs and values that define us as a movement. You can find those values here.

Below, you’ll find more about our mission, values, and how we strive to live them out every day.

Our Foundation

King & Kingdom

Jesus is King and we are His Body

Through Jesus’ life, death and victorious resurrection, and by his grace, humanity has been redeemed. In faith we proclaim His Kingship and partner with Him in His Kingdom mission though the power of the Holy Spirit, to lovingly reconcile all creation back to the Father.

Values that anchor us to this Foundation.

Experiencing and expressing God’s love.

We aspire to be a church that experiences the love of God, demonstrated by Jesus’ death and resurrection, and who expresses and releases God’s self-giving love in all aspects of the life of the church.

Restoring life through the power of the Spirit.

We aspire to be a church that accepts grace and forgiveness and seeks peace, by welcoming people as they are, cultivating a restorative environment, reconciling broken relationships, and leading people to wholeness through the resurrective power of the Spirit.

Being transformed by the Spirit to transform the world around us.

We aspire to be a church that acknowledges our need to be transformed and we pursue change through the power of the Holy Spirit, as disciples of King Jesus, in order to bring about positive transformation to our local, national and global community.

Shaped by the Word in the words of scripture.

We aspire to be a church who seek to be shaped by humbly and faithfully devoting ourselves to the study of scripture, seeking the living Word of God and listening for His call, in the inspired words of scripture, interpreted by the leading of the Holy Spirit in God’s community of people.

Joyfully worshiping God in humble adoration.

We aspire to be a church in awe and wonder of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, who willingly worship out of an abundance of joy that comes from a loving relationship and a revelation of His holy character. We adopt an attitude of humility as a declaration of allegiance because He alone is worthy of all glory, honour and praise.

Prayerfully seeking relationship with God and His will for blessing.

We aspire to be a church who walks humbly, listening, seeking and partnering with God in His will, way, protection and blessing. As we pursue this intimate and loving relationship with the Father we seek to pray powerfully and expectantly for each other and our local, national and global community, asking for their blessing, restoration and transformation and speaking into spiritual brokenness, oppression and injustice through the authority given to us by the Son, in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Empowering people to flourish.

We aspire to be a church that sees and acknowledges the image of God in every individual. We seek to give voice and opportunity to all by encouraging, equipping, and empowering our church and community, through the Holy Spirit, in utilising their gifts, skills, talents and resources to thrive personally and communally.

Blessed to be a blessing.

We aspire to be a church that acknowledges the blessing of God in our lives and listens to His call so that out of that abundance we might bring that blessing to our local, national and global community. We desire to flourish in God’s creation together and point everyone to the character and nature of God, as we await His return and eternal blessing.

Proclaiming the Gospel to see God’s Kingdom come.

We aspire to be a church that proclaims the good news of God’s Kingdom through the life, death and victorious resurrection of Jesus, in our local, national and global community, to see His gospel joyfully received by others, so that our world may be transformed to flourish as His Kingdom comes.
